What Happens at the A&E Unit

TRIAGE
  • The triage nurse or doctor will perform a preliminary assessment of your condition in order to determine the extent and nature of treatment required
  • We follow the 5 steps of effective triage which comprises of:
    • Level 1 – Resuscitation (immediate and life-saving)
    • Level 2 – Emergency
    • Level 3 – Urgent
    • Level 4 – Semi-urgent
    • Level 5 – Non-urgent steps
REGISTRATION
  • Registration helps the staff gather information on the patient. This also helps the Hospital staff seek consent in case an emergency surgery is to be done.
CONSULTATION & TREATMENT

After the patient’s blood pressure, pulse, temperature and breathing is checked, he/she will be seen by a doctor or a specialist.

  • All necessary Blood Tests, Laboratory tests or Health Assessment Scans will take place within Sohana Hospital.
